It’s only been a few minutes since I started this blog, and already there’s some big news for me to post! Microsoft has just released Windows Vista RC1 (Build 5600) to Connect testers. It is slightly unexpected, but welcome nontheless. File names for the builds (X86 and X64) are:
vista_5600.16384.060829-2230_x86fre_client-LR1CFRE_EN_DVD.iso
vista_5600.16384.060829-2230_x64fre_client-LR1CxFRE_EN_DVD.iso
Jim Allchin has also released a statement here, thanking testers for all their feedback and support so far, and to keep it up, tohelpmake Vista the best Windows OS so far.
